Summer Reading Programs • Children’s Department, Winona Public Library
• Monday Group Activities: Chimps (ages 6-8) meet 10-10:30am; Gorillas (ages 9-11) meet 10:45-11:15 am. Tuesday Storytimes: Family Lapsits for Howlers (babies & toddlers) meet 10 - 10:30 am; Baboons (3-5 year olds) meet 10:30-11 am or 1-1:30 pm. Also enjoy special guest storytellers from KinderMusik and the Great River Shakespeare Festival. Tuesday Family Night Pajama Parties: 6:30-7 pm. • This free program sponsored by the Women’s Resource Center and Winona County Master Gardeners gives kids ages 5-15 the chance to plant, grow, and harvest vegetables and flowers in the Redeemer/Land Stewardship Community Garden, as well as to learn about nutrition through arts and crafts. As Sebastian would say, “Just look at the world around you, right here on the ocean floor. Such wonderful things surround you! What more is you lookin' for?” (Disney’s Little Mermaid) See why the clam likes to jam and the snail likes to wale as volunteers share sea stories in front of original artworks.
