Grace Place will be having an open house Saturday, August 18th, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We will have demonstrations of the classes we offer here at Grace Place such as Kindermusik and Godly Play. Some organizations that will be at and a part of our open house are: The American Red Cross, Mothers of Preschoolers (M.O.P.S), La Leche, and Bluff Country Co-op will be providing food for the event. We will also be having a double coupon sale going on in our Market Square thrift store. This means that if you pay double for any item in the store you will be entered in a drawing to win a free campground certificate. Here is the schedule for the open house:

Feeling “BLUE”

Whether it’s a color, musical rift or just a plain old feeling, blue finds its way into our lives on a daily basis. Join volunteer storytellers as they tell stories of blue in front of original artworks in the galleries. Then after stories are finished, take part in your own “BLUES project”! All ages welcome but stories are geared to ages eight and under. Sponsored by Target

Watercolor Classes at Grace Place

Grace Place will be offering watercolor classes for children and adults on Friday, August 3rd and Saturday, August 4th. Joyce King will return to share her love of nature and beauty with Winona families. The adult class will be held on Friday from 6:00-9:00pm and the children’s class will be Saturday from 9:30-11:00am. Fee for the class is $10 if you do not bring your own supplies, $5 if you do bring your own supplies. Class size is limited so get your registration form in by July 20th to reserve a spot. Registration forms are available at Grace Place, 66 E Second Street or by calling (507) 452-2283. All proceeds will go to support the Grace Place mission in helping women and families to live spiritually wholesome, safe, healthy, and productive lives so that they may thrive within the community.
