Free Book Giveaway This Friday at the Library, 5:45pm!

Calling all kids: Stop by Winona Public Library's 2nd Floor Art Room THIS Fri, Jan 16 from 5:45 - 6pm to pick up a free, new book! The book giveaway is sponsored by Capstone & BookStart, as part of AAMAN's Martin Luther King Jr presentation hosted at the library from 4-5:45pm on Friday. Hear two riveting speakers talk about Harriet Tubman's Underground Railroad & the Civil Rights Movement. Winonan Joe Morse was a Peace Corp volunteer in the Deep South during the height of the Civil Rights Movement in the 60s. His intriguing slides & photos are worthwhile! If you can't stay for the program, at least bring the kids by to collect a new book!
